This is a continuation of our series of blog postings about community and goverment programs that assist with home repairs for low-income individuals.
The Housing Assistance Grant Program is a funding opportunity for non-profit, goverment, and community organizations in Ohio. Grant money is given to community programs that assist with emergency home repair/home improvement and handicapped accessisibility remodeling. These projects must specifically meet the housing needs of low-income families and individuals. Funding is also available for homebuyer counseling and down payment assistance through this grant program. The Ohio Department of Development and the Ohio Housing Trust Fund provide funding for this grant program.
Grant applications are due December 14, 2011. Contact the Office of Housing and Community Partnerships Supportive Housing Section at 614-466-2285 for additional information.
